This small three-hectare vineyard, set on the gentle sandy slopes stretching west of Saint-Émilion’s limestone plateau, has been part of a family estate acquired in the 19th century by the great-grandfather of Patrick Junet, the current owner.
Planted with Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec on ancient sandy soils underlaid with veins of red clay, it brings together elements that give Clos Junet wine its distinctive aromatic expression, suppleness, and roundness.
Deliberately limited yields, meticulous vineyard management, and bespoke winemaking and aging tailored to each harvest all combine to highlight Clos Junet’s organoleptic qualities.
