SAUTERNES 2011

Château Le Juge

SAUTERNES 2011

This Sauternes is characterized by its fruitiness, notes of citrus and botrytised grapes, its unctuousness and its finesse. On the palate, we find a very good volume with notes of honey. Very beautiful finish.

DETAILS
Château Le Juge (17th century) owes its name to a justice of the peace who lived there after the Revolution. The Perromat family acquired the vineyard in 1995. Jacques and Guillaume Perromat, 6th generation winegrowers, now run the family estate. The average age of our vines is 15 years. The surface area is 12 ha. In the interest of quality, we chose to increase the planting density to 6500 vines/ha for a low yield of 18 hl/ha. The Sauternes region is bordered to the south by the immense Landes forest and to the north by the Garonne valley. Clay, sand, and gravel are superimposed there. This terroir is of remarkable quality for producing Sauternes.
